Home-cooked food is a key feature at Downsvale  and our Head Cook and her team prepare freshly cooked, nutritious meals daily on-site, with treats being prepared to celebrate occasions and festivals, including her special home-made Butternut Squash soup.  Our Head Cook, Sue, has regular Food Safety updates including the Level 3 qualification.  Special dietary requirements of residents can be catered to, including pureed food for those with swallowing difficulties.  Dining creates the sense of occasion on birthdays and festivals.   Hydration tends to be an area major concern for residents with high needs and those with such needs are monitored regularly.
