Some Skills are Never Forgotten.

🧵 Some skills are never forgotten.
Today’s activity saw our residents picking up a needle and thread once again as they enjoyed some wool sewing.
For many, sewing was something they did throughout their lives—whether it was mending clothes, knitting for loved ones or creating handmade gifts. It was wonderful to see those familiar skills return so naturally.
Activities like these are about so much more than crafting. They encourage concentration, support hand-eye coordination, keep fingers moving and, perhaps most importantly, spark treasured memories and conversations from years gone by.
Watching everyone settle into the activity with such confidence was a joy, and seeing the finished creations made everyone incredibly proud.
